There are loves that stay with us our whole lives.

There are companions who enter our lives and end up becoming a part of who we are. Niebla was one of them. She accompanied a child throughout his childhood with that way of loving that only they know: without asking for anything, always being there, making the world seem like a safer place.

She was protective, affectionate, very smart, and generous with her love. Her way of being by our side left a mark that cannot fit into a photograph. Because she wasn't just a dog: she was family, and growing up with her forever changed the way we understand affection.

On March 11, 2024, the time came to say goodbye. There are absences for which we are never prepared. But what Niebla gave did not leave with her: it lives on in the memory of that childhood and in the love with which this house is born today.

Niebla’s House bears her name so that her story remains present. It is a way of transforming what she taught us into care for other companions; of remembering that every walk, every game, and every day together matters.

This house begins with her. And with an affection that never ends.
